Filter Clover RPG traits by attribute or name, compare reported requirements and effects, and see which level or point costs remain disputed.

How do traits work in Clover RPG?

Traits are passive bonuses earned by meeting requirements, which may include character stats, level, a quest, kills or currency. Unlike a magic roll, a trait is tied to a condition or progression goal. The lookup below lets you search a trait and filter by the primary requirement type.

* Indicates disagreement between published summaries; check current in-game values before making irreversible choices.

Read the status column carefully. The available guides disagree on some unlock levels and point costs: for example, Weapons Expert is reported as level 5 in one summary and level 8 in another, while Arcane Rebound is associated with different level thresholds. These rows intentionally say Check in game instead of giving an invented exact cost.

Useful traits for early progression

  • Weapons Expert: reported to increase weapon proficiency gain by 50%. A useful candidate when developing your chosen weapon class, subject to confirming its current level requirement.
  • Mob Slayer: reported to improve damage against ordinary mobs after accumulating kills. Whether a boss counts toward the same bonus is Unconfirmed.
  • Pick-Me-Up: reported to reduce the amount of equipment lost on death, potentially useful while exploring dangerous regions.
  • Graceful Escape: a dodge-oriented trait for players who rely on timing. Practise blocking and rolling first.
  • Tailwind: tied to Daeron's broom races in community records; check the beginner guide for the race progression.

Traits to be careful with

Bounty Hunter is reported to reduce PvE experience gained and is described as difficult or impossible to reverse in existing guides. Confirm the current trade-off in the live game before selecting it, especially if you are following the leveling route.

How do I unlock traits?

Meet the listed condition and use the applicable in-game trait or character progression screen. Several guides describe an Inner Realm reached through the Mission Bird, but menu wording and costs have not been independently verified on the October release build. Do not spend all available points solely from an unverified older number.

FAQ

Which traits should beginners look at?

Weapons Expert and Mob Slayer have published progression-oriented effects. Your first priority should still be learning the controls and completing the tutorial.

Are listed point costs official?

No. Where community sources conflict or current gameplay verification is unavailable, exact costs are marked Unconfirmed.

Review limits

Trait names and described effects are community-reported, not copied from a verified developer API. This lookup is a working reference as of October 25, 2026. Research provenance and conflicting source values are kept in internal notes rather than promotional links to competing guide sites.
